Clear Site Data


If a file changes that your browser has cached, it’s going to keep serving the old, cached version of the file and you won’t see the most recent changes. This is when, you may encounter browser errors like run time error, buttons missing on the page, unable to save. Clearing the Cache and Cookies in a browser helps fix these issues.

Note: This how-to article demonstrates clearing site data in Google Chrome. The methods will differ but be similar in other Web Browsers.


Step One: Open the Web Console

  1. Right-click anywhere on the site that needs the data cleared.
  2. Click inspect.

Step Two: Clear the Site Data

  1. Click the Application Tab.
  2. Click the Clear site data button.

Note: When clearing site data any currently signed in profiles will be logged out.
