Set Up Email Signatures

This page explains the difference between the two Email Signature fields provided, how to set each of them, and how to include the HTML Email Signature in a template.


After completing this how-to you will understand the purpose of the two Email Signature fields for Users, and how to set and use both.


Salesforce provides a standard field for each user to set their Email Signature. This Email Signature will be present on any personal emails sent from DealerTeam, as well as on any emails that use text templates. To include a user's signature on an HTML template, the HTML Email Signature field on the user object must be populated.

Text Template Signature

Log in as the user whose email signature you wish to set. Click on the user's name in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then click "My Settings" in the drop-down menu that appears.


The Settings Page will appear. Click on "Email" in the left hand menu.

Then click on "Email Settings" in the drop-down menu that appears.


The Email Settings Page will appear. Enter in the desired signature, without any HTML markup, in the Email Signature box. Be sure to click Save when finished.
